ABOUT T.VDB
Tom Van der Borght is a fashion house working at the intersection of fashion, performance, research and visual arts. The studio develops both autonomous artistic work and commissioned projects in collaboration with cultural institutions, fashion houses, artists and commercial brands (Mercedes-Benz, Chanel, Blanca Li, David Byrne, Lille3000, …).
YOUR ROLE
Throughout your internship, you'll be an integral part of the design team and will work closely with the creative director. Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively participating in research on new techniques, materials, and finishings
- Assisting in the production of handmade creations
- Pattern drawing
- Stitching prototypes
- Preparing technical files for manufacturers
- Following up on fabric and trims, production, and collection pieces
- Attending fittings and communicating adaptations
- Providing support in the studio
YOUR PROFILE
- You are currently studying or have a background in fashion design or fashion technology, with graphic design skills
- You are well-organized, hands-on, and detail-oriented
- You enjoy working independently but also value collaboration
- You are creative and motivated
- You are fluent in English; other languages are a plus
- You are skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft Excel
