What you can learn from IKEA's diversity strategy
How do you bring diversity and inclusion into practice, instead of just an ambition on paper? And how do you translate DEI into policies, as well as into authentic actions and campaigns? In this webinar, we bring together three perspectives. We start with the results of our research into diversity and inclusion in the Flemish design and fashion industry, in which we also questioned consumer expectations towards these industries. Next, experts from IKEA Belgium will share how DEI is translated into a concrete HR policy at their company. Finally, we look at practical examples: how do you create inclusive and authentic communication campaigns?
WHAT TO EXPECT
Health & Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Leader at IKEA Belgium, Yang Yang, will share insights and learnings from the IKEA Belgium’s D&I action plan. Yang is responsible for creating an inclusive environment by training staff and organising initiatives proposed by the IKEA-team.
PR Lead at IKEA Belgium, Lotte De Wilde, worked on several marketing and PR campaigns for local markets in Belgium. Lotte will discuss how their previous campaigns during Ramadan came successfully together, the impact it had, and the learnings they withheld.
During the first part of the webinar Stefan Ceunen from Flanders District of Creativity will share the results of the DEI survey that was conducted earlier this year for the design and fashion sector. How inclusive are these industries? And what do consumers expect from our fashion brands and design companies?
