Following a successful debut in 2023 and a strong return in 2025, Isola comes back to the London Design Festival for its third appearance, set to expand its presence even further in 2026. Returning to the heart of Shoreditch, Isola will present a dynamic showcase ranging from individual projects and collectible pieces to curated collections and dedicated display areas tailored to the exhibition space.
Alongside this, a dedicated installation will bring Isola Space, originally based in Dubai, to London, reinterpreting its hybrid identity within a new context. The edition will also feature In Between: From Making to Meaning, exploring the relationship between material experimentation, creative processes, and the evolving narratives of design.
In Between: From Making to Meaning explores the space where design takes shape, not only as a finished object, but as a continuous process of thinking, making, and transforming.
Bringing together a selection of studios and brands, the exhibition invites visitors into a series of open, living workspaces where products, materials, and techniques are revealed in real time.
Through live demonstrations and acts of making, designers share the gestures, decisions, and experimentation that define their practice.
Rather than focusing solely on outcomes, the exhibition highlights the moments in between: where ideas evolve, materials respond, and meaning is constructed. Each studio presents its own approach, offering insight into diverse methodologies, from traditional craftsmanship to contemporary and innovative processes.
By making the process visible, the exhibition fosters a deeper connection between audience and creator, shifting attention from the final object to the narrative, intention, and knowledge embedded within it.
