ABOUT T.VDB
T.VDB is the artist-led house of Belgian fashion designer and artist Tom Van der Borght. The studio questions the normal and builds new worlds across fashion, textile, sculpture, performance, installation, image and technology. Current artistic ecosystems include Beyond the Body and the 7 Non-Normative Bodies, the My Tribe / Archive universe, collectible textile and sculptural works, and selected commissioned worlds. Interns enter a small, hands-on studio where research is translated into precise physical and public outcomes.

THE ROLE
Turn the T.VDB universe into strong, consistent and useful communication. You will help own the weekly execution across Instagram, LinkedIn, newsletters, project presentations, press assets, the website and Shopify, while also creating the images, layouts and short-form content these channels need. Final art direction, publication and strategic relationships remain with Tom Van der Borght.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

  • Build a realistic weekly content calendar around active T.VDB priorities and prepare platform-specific posts for Instagram and LinkedIn.

  • Create content from research, studio making, finished work, exhibitions and collaborations through photography, short-form video, interviews, captions and archive material.

  • Develop graphic design and art-direction executions within the T.VDB identity: social assets, invitations, project presentations, sales or partner decks and press material.

  • Prepare and build newsletters, including concept, selection, copy, links, credits, layout, test version and performance notes.

  • Keep the website, Shopify and webshop accurate and visually alive: project and product pages, imagery, descriptions, credits, links, stock or availability flags and basic merchandising.

  • Plan and execute simple studio photography and video, edit existing assets and organise files, credits, image rights and reusable content packages.

  • Support focused PR execution by maintaining approved media information and preparing press releases, pitches, biographies, image selections, captions and partner-ready packages.

  • When relevant to your skills and an active brief, explore digital fashion and 3D content workflows, including work connected to The Fabricant; track channel and webshop learnings monthly.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You are enrolled in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fashion Communication, Branding, Photography, Film, Digital Media, Communication, Digital Fashion or a related programme.

  • Your portfolio shows strong visual judgement and at least one clear strength: graphic design and art direction; photography or video; editorial and social content; digital publishing and Shopify; or 3D and digital fashion.

  • You do not need to be advanced in every area. In your application, name your strongest track and one secondary track you want to develop.

  • You can turn one project into a coherent content package across image, layout, copy and channel formats rather than treating every post as a separate task.

  • Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are highly useful; Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, photography, Shopify, Mailchimp or 3D tools are valuable depending on your focus.

  • You combine initiative with accuracy: names, dates, credits, links, image rights, product information, confidentiality and unreleased work must be correct.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
You will learn how one artist-led universe becomes a coherent public, institutional and commercial presence. You will build real experience across visual communication, content production, editorial planning, presentations, newsletters, website and webshop operations, press preparation and digital experimentation.

HOW TO APPLY
Send the following to info@tomvanderborght.com with the role title in the subject line:

  • CV and short motivation.

  • Portfolio or links showing your strongest track, plus examples of how you combine image, design, content, digital tools or communication in finished work.

  • Exact availability and confirmation that you can start on or close to the stated date.

  • School, programme and confirmation that an internship agreement, school or Erasmus+ insurance, NDA and IP agreement can be completed on time.

T.VDB welcomes applicants of all genders, backgrounds, nationalities, sexual orientations, abilities, ages, religions and identities. We value curiosity, care, collaboration and respect.
