The Role
As Production Manager, you oversee the full production process from pricing and margin control to bulk production and delivery. You manage supplier negotiations, production planning, and quality control, ensuring timelines, costs, and standards are met across all products.
Responsibilities
Production Preparation & Costing
- Set product pricing in line with target margins per SKU, including technical specifications, production costs, and RRP calculations
- Negotiate fabric, trim and manufacturing prices, MOQ’s, payment terms and lead times with suppliers
- Monitor and maintain an overview of historical production costs
Identify and propose opportunities to improve production margins, taking into account logistics, duties, and warehouse costs - Evaluate supplier quotations and recommend the most suitable sourcing solutions based on quality, cost and delivery performance
Packaging & Labelling - Coordinate production and approval of labels, packaging and branded accessories
- Ensure correct label placement, packaging specifications and compliance with brand guidelines
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and material suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, pricing and on-time delivery
- Resolve production issues through proactive communication and negotiation
- Support supplier selection and onboarding for new product categories or production opportunities
Bulk Production & Planning
- Prepare and issue production orders to manufacturers
- Allocate fabric across production orders based on order priorities and available stock
- Coordinate production across multiple manufacturers in collaboration with the Logistics Lead
- Communicate and monitor production timelines, and deadlines
- Anticipate production risk and implement corrective actions to minimize delays
- Ensure production capacity aligns with seasonal requirements
Delivery & Post-Production Follow-Up
- Coordinate production deliveries together with the Logistics Lead
- Track delivery progress and ensure all departments are kept informed
- Coordinate shipment priorities when production schedules change
- Manage urgent shipments and consolidation opportunities to optimize transport costs
- Finalize and analyze production margins after completion
- Evaluate production performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Quality Control & Technical Follow-Up
- Manage post-showroom fit adjustments and technical improvements, and communicate updates to manufacturers
- Follow up on PPS approvals, pre-production requirements and quality control during production
- Coordinate third-party quality inspections before shipment
- Review and approve production samples to ensure compliance with brand standards
- Address quality issues with manufacturers and coordinate solutions
- Support quality-related after-sales requests from wholesale and e-commerce teams
- Ensure all products comply with brand quality standards and technical specifications before shipment
Stock Management
- Monitor fabric and trim stock levels
- Place timely production orders for materials and supplies to support ongoing and future production
- Coordinate stock transfers between suppliers and manufacturers when required
- Monitor excess materials and identify opportunities to reuse or optimization
Process Improving and Reporting
- Maintain accurate production data, reports and documentation
- Analyze production KPIs including delivery performance, quality issues and margin evolution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
- Support the implementation of new production tools, workflows and systems to improve efficiency
Profile
- You are punctual and tidy
- You work independently and take initiative
- You perform well under pressure and are stress resilient
- You speak English fluently and reside in Belgium, with the ability to work in our studio on a daily basis
- You have a minimum of 5 years working experience
Knowledge of Illustrator is a plus
